The Greenville Chorale, joined by the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, opens its 60th Anniversary Season with Johannes Brahms’ “A German Requiem.” This masterwork has been performed numerous times by the Chorale.
The message of Hope, Assurance, and Joy could not come at a more meaningful time. The Chorale’s concert will be dedicated to all those affected by the recent covid pandemic.
Also on the program are two works by Greenville composer, Dan Forrest. “St.Patrick’s Hymn” was commissioned by the Chorale for its 50th Anniversary Season. “Gloria in excelsis Deo” is from “LUX: the Dawn from on High” commissioned by the Chorale in 2017.
